New Friend?

We put in an adoption application for this little cat over the weekend. She's 10 months old and is currently named Cher, though we'd like to change that to Mina (Mina Miyo, if you'd like to be proper about it). She will be spayed tomorrow, and we'll hopefully be bringing her home on Wednesday.

We definitely didn't plan on finding a new friend so quickly, so we haven't had a chance to talk with our vet about what we can do to prevent the new cat from getting FIP. What we've read online is inconclusive, but we both feel that if the vet tells us to wait, we'll wait, because it's best for the cat. It will almost definitely mean that we won't get this particular little friend, but better that than bringing her home and having her get sick.
