CSA week 14

September 26 delivery
  • 2 spaghetti squash
  • 2 carnival squash
  • 2 bunches brussels sprout tops -- oh boy, was I surprised by these as I thought we were getting two bags of sprouts
  • 1 bunch radishes + greens
  • 1 bunch chard
  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1 bag arugula
  •  
Meals:
  • A bunch of leftover/wilting greens from last week went into kuku sabzi
  • A spaghetti squash in the same spaghetti squash/Marcella Hazan tomato sauce/mushroom balls I've done the last couple of weeks. We also made an apple crisp.
  • Sauteed sprout tops with slow roasted potatoes, pinto beans, and leftover cornbread -- this was a TERRIFIC meal.
  • Radishes and greens in the same radish bhaji, served with pink masoor dal (which more beige than pink), raita, cauliflower rice from the freezer
  • Chard in Roberto
  • Carnival squashes and kale in three sisters stuffed squash which was fine but not great. Stuffed things are good in theory but logistically difficult, especially when the thing that is stuffed has skin that isn't all that great to eat. I would've preferred this as a wild rice salad with the squash mixed in.
