I really liked nevers's format for this, so:

Winter: really struggled with depression, adopted Mina, turned 28, visited sebethis in Philly, voted for Obama in the primary after much internal debate, went back to IL for LEEP weekend and saw lots of people I love, visits from both families

Spring: visits from Angie & Soy, trip to New York (and time with aise and weetziefae), saw the Pope!, reading Food Politics causes me to be obsessive, farmers' market love, trip to Chicago for Bamboo, staycation

Summer: 5K, Bonnaroo, crazy fast class at GW, work angst, job interview and offer, lots of baseball, apartment hunting, beautiful little garden, One Local Summer, Obama clinches the nomination, first conference presentation in Denver, moving to a beautiful new apt

Fall: much more satisfied at work, very happy in the new apt, very happy in Alexandria, making good friendos, visits from friendos and Mom, trip to SF for conferences and Bamboo, sick Mina, HOLY SHIT OBAMA WINS AND THEN I CRY FOR A MONTH, hiking, girls' weekend, crafting, apple picking, data collection, two fun Thanksgivings

Winter: depression coming 'round again, lots of changes at work, happy hours, trip to CA with SB, Jenn and Bill get engaged, ate beef (!!!), WE GET ENGAGED

Things I'd Never Done Before: got my legs waxed, ran a 5K, negotiated to make my work life better, rented a car, presented at a conference, volunteered for a political candidate

Music: Death Cab, The National, selected MGMT tracks, Cut Copy, New Order's Power Corruption & Lies
