CSA week 10

August 29 delivery:
  • 2 red kuri squashes
  • 2 ears corn, last for the season
  • 1 bag mizuna
  • 1 bag arugula
  • 1 bag lettuces
  • 1 bag tomatoes (4?)
  • 1 heirloom tomato
  • 1 bunch dill
Our schedule this week was thrown off by my foot injury and associated doctor's appointments and also a poorly written recipe, so there were several things that either were scrapped or pushed forward to next week.
  • Arugula in pesto with roasted veggies, including the corn which we will miss terribly
  • Dill in Greek baked beans with honey and dill -- this was terrific but takes an hour longer than the recipes describes, so I made it Sunday night for Monday dinner/Tuesday lunch
  • Mizuna sauteed and served with tofu, rice, and corn (from the freezer, alas)
  • Lettuces in a bunch of salads, including several riffs on this one
  • Tomatoes in the one pot farro again, and on their own, and in a simple tomato/cucumber/olive salad
